Before the Coronavirus locked Peru down, the kids had just returned from visiting their extended families on their Summer break. Traditionally, we welcome them back with a trip as a group, so they can return to school refreshed and feeling connected.
Last year, you helped us send them on a life-changing excursion to Lima, so this year we kept their vacation trip affordable and simple.
The kids enjoyed a road trip to explore their country and learn about their heritage. They visited hot springs, rode in a fishing boat, and visited alpacas. They saw the origin of the Vilcanota (Urubamba) River in the high Andes, hiked together, cooked and relaxed and enjoyed their time.
